NIGHT AT THE FIELD MUSEUM

A year of strategic planning built into a single overnight production that outperformed the Oscars locally.

About Night at the Field Museum

Sixty dancers transformed into animals for a cinematic production filmed overnight inside Chicago’s Field Museum. Six sets, built around the museum’s spaces and exhibits, came together in a single night.

The production took a year to plan. Every scene, from the choreography and music to the lighting and camera movements, was mapped out in advance.

Then, just hours before filming, a presidential visit closed Chicago’s airspace, and the shooting schedule changed on the spot.

The finished film won an Emmy Award.
