A spy thriller filmed across five Chicago locations in a single night.
From the Merchandise Mart to a moving CTA train, an elevated platform, and two boats on the Chicago River, the production brought together former Chicago Bear Anthony “Spice” Adams, a computer-generated villain, and Sister Jean, the 104-year-old nun, as the unlikely head of mission control.
The entire film was shot overnight, including a two-hour window on CTA tracks before train service resumed. Every camera setup, location, and crew move had to be timed to the minute.
The film won an Emmy Award and earned an Emmy nomination for its screenplay.
